Does Water Increase Your Metabolism? Revealing The Hidden Answer On How To Improve Weight Loss
By Kyle Hoffman

You've heard people complaining over and over again that they have no idea how to improve weight loss by any means because they just have a slow metabolism.

"My metabolism is just too slow. I'll never lose all this fat like other people can."

So, typically these types of people try to find the absolute easiest way to see any sort of improvement in their bodies and one of the most common questions I get is...

Does water increase your metabolism?

And lucky for you, it really does. It's just one of those things that everyone overlooks, but making sure you drink enough water influences your weight loss results.

Water, in general, is a pretty vital thing. You need it to improve digestion, absorb more vitamins and minerals, and not to mention, to stay alive.

Because of this improvement in bodily processes that water provides, it gives a bit of a nudge to your metabolism as well. And in turn, you burn more calories during your downtime.

Now, since water is in most liquids, you can drink almost anything and still reap the benefits right? Um, no.

People forget that a regular glass of water does not contain 3 things:

1. Caffeine
2. Sugar
3. Calories

And it's these 3 items that create a lot of stress on the body and prevent weight loss. Let's talk a little bit about the workings of each one.

1. Caffeine

What most people don't know is that caffeine in coffee can actually help boost your metabolism. Yes, it really can. However, this is only if it's not taken regularly.

For people that have a cup of coffee every day, the results will do nothing for your metabolism because your body has gotten used to the exhilarating sensation after about a week.

The way to stimulate your metabolism with caffeine is to take it infrequently. Once every 3 days should do the trick, and on the other days, stick with a bottle of water.

2. Sugar

We all know where to get sugar. You'll find it in soda, fruit drinks, energy drinks, and even in coffee.

The problem with sugar is that it spikes out your metabolism quickly and then drops it through the floor just as fast, leaving your fat-burning processes crawling at a pitiful rate.

Drinking diet sodas that contain imitation sweeteners are not going to do you any better since there's now research that shows an increased risk in stroke and cancer.

The best thing to do, once again, is grab a bottle of water when you're tempted with a sugary soda pop.

3. Calories

The one good thing about diet sodas as opposed to "regular" soda is the lack of calories. If you can avoid calories from a drink, then good for you!

But, then you have to sit back and ask yourself a question. If you're trying to avoid calories from a normal soda, why don't you just have a glass of water?

Is it because a soda just tastes better? If you really want to lose some weight, you have to give up something and the easiest thing is a sugary soda. Trust me, you'll live.

So, the next time you ask yourself the question, "Does water increase your metabolism?", remember that it does... but suck it up and make some sacrifices. You really don't need all the extras!
