Moore To Consider about Higher Consciousness in 2010 By Rob Moore
|
Green Acres is the place to be...
Every morning the cattle had to be fed. And I'm not talking just a bail of hay tossed off the side of the truck. The herd over by the gray barn got a special high-protein, multi-grain mixture wheelbarrowed out to them one by one. Then we climbed up the 100 foot silo ladder to scoop out the corn-based mulch for that herd. Buckets of grain were carried up the hill to the cattle up by the pond. Daisy May, our lone dairy cow, was hand-milked every morning. Some of it we strained and used exactly as it was, some of it was made into butter. Crops were planted, tended, harvested, and sold to become a large chunk of the annual income.
I had what has become the rare privilege of growing up in an agricultural setting. We grew our food, plumbed our own spring water, burned our trash, returned the ash to the soil to grow more food for ourselves and other human beings, and got our cardo and weight training in the process.
Allow me to be rapidly honest here and tell you that as a kid there was so much I hated about that life. And I got off pretty dang easy considering all there was to tend to (though you couldn't have told me that at the time). But I learned firsthand what it means to earn and maintain a life through literal creativity, effort, and the production of tangible goods which help sustain life for everyone.
I don't mention all this simply to drag you down my own personal Memory Avenue. It's because in recent years -- and particularly in light of the current economic breakdown happening all around us -- I see how important and necessary this back-to-basics approach is for us to regain our footing. Big commerce, selling the idea of money to make money, and the whole Walmart-esque distributing-other-countries'-tangible-goods thing has run its course and is almost completely played. These short-sighted methods can generate some hefty income for awhile, but eventually turbulent headwinds call upon some kind of solid structure to stand on.
Not only is there great fear and unrest about economics, but the scrabbling to find a solution to global warming continues as well as what to do with our ever-growing piles of waste. Well, again, I point to the aforementioned agricultural, self-sustaining scenario for the key.
But really now...
Don't get me wrong here. I'm not suggesting that in 2010 we all need to trade in our Mustangs for mules and start growing potatoes. Believe me... I'D be starving in my own hoed row within
weeks if I were suddenly plopped into such a situation. What I am suggesting, though, is that it's time to turn our THOUGHT PROCESS toward some kind of solid, circuitous, self-renewing system of real, honest-to-God goods and services. And to hone that idea a bit further, it is the actual pulling back and giving some consideration to what's presently shifting that will make our year not only smoother but yield a bigger payoff down the road.
As I discuss in this video, I've found that comparing what I receive during my own meditative inquiries to the current astrology and numerology paints a more vivid and usable picture to make informed decisions. This past year saw the onset of a most profound Saturn/Uranus opposition. This points to challenging circumstances around the globe as we've already seen in economics but also points ultimately to real revolution as this last U.S. election would suggest. (Is there any way we could pleeeease, PLEEEEASE not pin the role of "savior" onto Obama thereby making his crucifixion inevitable?? Could we each take responsibility for our changes??)
An equal but in many ways opposite astro setting was prevalent in the mid 1960's. Basically, it was a time that injected heavy doses of a Heeyyyyy-Whatever-Man kinda vibe into everything. Freedom of expression took center stage and many forms of repression fell away. Our current equal but opposite astrology suggests a need to now reinforce those hard-won ideals with a solid, reliable, if not completely revolutionary foundation. Put another way, it's time to take a more responsible attitude about a few things.
On the numerology side of things, 2008 was a 1 Universal Year. It was a year to collectively and actively put new ideas into motion. And, boy, did we ever. Having total freedom of what we decide and act upon, WE are the ones who dictate the ultimate shape of events and therefore our world. Well, as it turned out, there was a greater collective movement away from the traditional institutions of money and commerce. The playing field was leveled and now the stage has been set for a new kind of game.
Okay, then, WHAT game???
What are the new rules? How do you score points? C'mon... How? Where? When and Why for???? For God's sake, man, HELP US OUT!!!
Okay... pause button, please. Stop. Sit. Breathe, exhale, rinse, repeat. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Last year was a 1 Year. Aggressive action was appropriate and will prove ultimately helpful.
2010 is a 2 Year globally. If you wanna make any headway with the various balls you've gotten rolling recently, it's time to change gears. Think quite the opposite from last year's strategy. We have all set big changes in motion... now we need to allow. ALLOW old, worn-out systems and methods to fall away, ALLOW events to unfold, and therefore ALLOW vital information to be revealed as to the best way forward.
The way we arrive at key numbers in numerology is -- in a simplified nutshell -- by adding the digits together. There's something that's worth noting about the numerological significance of adding the digits of 2010 together. We first arrive at an 11 before adding those digits together to get a 2. That little 11 actually indicates the potential for great global realization, inspiration, and ultimately change. This further supports the astrological aspects mentioned above which point toward revolution for us all.
Revolution or not, there's still great indication of the need to tread a bit lightly this year. During the course of writing this very article, I was also trying to complete the simple, mundane task of doing laundry. Hey, I didn't wanna do it... it just had to be done. Furthermore, I wanted nothing more than to throw a load in the washer, one in the dryer, and get back to writing as quickly as possible. Quite to the contrary, I wound up jamming my thumb while turning on the dryer, slipping on a concrete step, landing in mud, washing my cell phone, and missing two long-awaited calls. AND ON TOP OF ALL THAT, when I did that inexplicable thumb trick, I simultaneously messed up the temperature setting and everything came out damp, steamy, and wrong.
This is a perfect demonstration of the kind of vibe we can find ourselves up against from time to time throughout 2010. Forcing, rushing, and trying to skip over boring details will only hamper any headway we've made from progressing further. This painting titled A Sunlit Room is one I created several years ago but I'm adding it to my Available Art section because it so completely represents the chilled, reflective vibe that will see us through this year with the greatest gains. Even if that boils down to flashes of profound insight. Whenever you find yourself frazzled and unable to see two feet in front of you, sit in front of that image for a few minutes and see what happens.
The liking-our-lives thing is way bigger than the money thing.
One of the questions that hit me squarely between the eyes from A Course in Miracles is, "Do you prefer to be right or happy?" If placed in an either/or situation, I'll choose happy and content any way I can get it. If seeing just how my take on something is less than accurate opens the door to feeling good and being at peace? Open that thing up, I'm coming through! Similarly, a question I asked myself a long time ago is, "Had I rather be sitting on a pile of money or be deeply fulfilled?" Again, if placed in some this-way-or-that vacuum, I'll take Door Number Fulfillment, please. I mean, hey... the whole idea behind a mountain of money is to be deeply gratified, right? In this light, whether we're sitting on a pile of money or a pile of peanut hulls has no bearing on whether we can feel happy inside and enjoy what's going on right this instant.
Take a listen to the channeling segment from my intro page. It offers some strong clues as to the most advantageous way to navigate this year.
It really is a year about allowing. As hard as it may be to grasp in this go-achieve-make-happen-hurry-up world we've created, this is a year to allow what we've set in motion to gain momentum. To allow certain factors to solidify. To allow comprehension to replace confusion. There will be plenty to actively do and take care of, but you're gonna find that if you precede that activity with a few moments of consideration and forethought, it will not only cut error significantly it will make the action more powerful for you. What that channeling clip says to me more than anything, though, is that the process of getting where we wanna be is what makes life fulfilling. Like a game of chess, have fun playing the strategy game this year. Sitting back, taking it slow and easy without the urgent rush will make things more deep, meaningful, and sometimes just plain fun.
