Positive Attitude Music! – “Be Good To Yourself” by Journey

One of the main areas of positive success that the Rising Thunder Blog addresses is positive attitude music and how to be good to yourself. Within the positive attitude music section of the blog I will showcase popular songs that are undeniable in their ability to suddenly and dramatically raise your positive energy levels.

I want to start this positive attitude music section with the classic feel good anthem “Be Good To Yourself” by the rock band Journey. In Journey's heyday from the mid 1970's to the mid 1980's they were one of the biggest rock bands in the world featuring the masterful (and underrated) guitar work of Neal Schon and the other worldly lead vocals of Steve Perry.

Although Journey was labeled as a “corporate rock” band for their pioneering efforts in pushing the envelope of large extravaganza type concerts featuring laser lights and various stage effects; they have endured and their music lives on to fuel the positive spirits of generation after generation.

That is why I have chosen a Journey song to be featured in the first positive attitude music blog. It just goes to show you; when you aren't afraid to go big and capture the imagination of the people much like Journey did with their over the top style songs and concerts you will be rewarded on many levels.

Journey of course has more well known songs such as “Don't Stop Believing,” “Separate Ways,” and “Open Arms.” However “Be Good To Yourself” is the song everyone is singing when they walk back to their cars after the show.
